Welcome to the Department of Mathematics, a cornerstone of education and research in the Kingdom with a global reach. Our department is dedicated to preparing students for diverse career paths in government, industry, and teaching, while actively advancing knowledge in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, actuarial science, and financial mathematics through cutting-edge research.

The Department of Mathematics, comprised of approximately sixty faculty members, including internationally renowned experts, encompasses a broad range of mathematical fields. We have many full-time students in our graduate and undergraduate programs, providing a vibrant academic environment.

We foster interaction among students, faculty, and visiting scholars through courses, seminars, colloquia, and informal exchanges. Research initiatives receive significant support from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), government funding agencies, the third sector, and industry.

Throughout the year, we host renowned mathematicians and actuarial scientists from around the world who collaborate with our faculty and graduate students, enriching the intellectual atmosphere.
